Perdomo Cigars

Tabacalera Perdomo traces its roots to the town of San Jose de las Lajas, Cuba, about 17 miles southeast of Havana, where Silvio Perdomo was raised. Silvio Perdomo and his son gained most of their experience from working for companies such as Cuesta y Cia, H. Upmann, Partagas and Marin & Trujillo. The Perdomo’s family history is entangled with the Cuban Revolution of 1959 which almost ended their family tradition. The family persevered and at last Perdomo’s grandson Nick founded Perdomo Cigars in 1992 and grew the company to what it is today. The company is still family operated and going strong with their manufacturing operations based in an 88,000-square-foot facility in Estelí, Nicaragua, known colloquially as “El Monstro” (The Monster). The building is the second largest cigarmaking facility in Nicaragua.
